Chatple("we", "us", or "our") provides a unified streaming chat and tipping platform for creators on Twitch, YouTube, and Kick. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our website and services.

- Account information: name, email address, profile image, and session data when you sign in with Twitch, Google (YouTube), or Kick.
- Platform connection data: OAuth tokens, platform usernames, channel IDs, and granted permission scopes needed to read chat, detect live streams, and send messages on your behalf when you use those features.
- Chat and event data: chat messages, usernames, badges, timestamps, and platform events (such as subscriptions, cheers, super chats, and tips) displayed in your dashboard or overlays.
- Tip and wallet data: tip amounts, sender display names, optional messages, voice selections, GIF attachments, Stripe checkout session references, and Chatple Rice wallet balances linked to your account.
- Overlay and settings data: overlay layouts, alert configurations, and chat display preferences you save in the product.
- Technical data: browser type, device information, IP address, and logs needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
3. How we use information
We use collected information to:
- Authenticate you and maintain your account
- Connect to Twitch, YouTube, and Kick on your behalf
- Aggregate and display live chat and platform events
- Power stream overlays, alerts, and dashboard analytics
- Process tips and rice wallet top-ups through Stripe
- Generate optional text-to-speech for tip alerts
- Improve reliability, security, and support
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Third-party services
Chatple integrates with third-party providers. Their use of your information is also governed by their own policies:
- Twitch
- Google / YouTube
- Kick
- Stripe (payments)
- GIPHY (optional GIF search for tips and alerts)
- Microsoft Edge text-to-speech (optional tip alert voice playback)
When you connect a platform account, you authorize us to access the data permitted by the scopes you approve during OAuth consent.
5. Data retention
We retain account, chat history, tip records, and configuration data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Some records may be retained where required by law or for fraud prevention, payment reconciliation, or security purposes.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only:
- With service providers that help us operate the platform
- When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the service
- With your direction, such as displaying tips or chat on your stream overlay

If you access the service from outside the country where we operate, your information may be processed in locations where our service providers operate.
